
A German-registered Piper PA-46-310P Malibu aircraft (D-EOSE) crashed into the sea southwest of Qaqortoq, Greenland, on July 29, 2024.
The Arctic Command received a MAYDAY signal at 12:17 PM from the plane, which was en route from Canada to Narsarsuaq.

The crew from the Air Transport Wing on the Challenger aircraft quickly found the aircraft’s position.

A rescue boat from the inspection vessel Triton arrived at the crash site within 30 minutes, successfully rescuing the two occupants, who were transported to a hospital in Qaqortoq for further medical attention.
