A Rwandair Canadair CRJ-900, registration 9XR-WI performing flight WB-110 from Harare (Zimbabwe) to Cape Town (South Africa) with 65 passengers and 8 crew, was accelerating for takeoff from Harare’s runway 05 when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed due to damage of one of the left main tyres. The aircraft slowed and stopped about 460 meters short of the runway end.

Harare Airport reported there were no injuries amongst the 65 passengers and 8 crew. After the tyre was replaced the aircraft was moved off the runway about 2.5 hours after the rejected takeoff.
