The windshields design is a clamped laminated glass type. It is made of 3 glass plies separated with plastic interlayer.
Structural integrity of the windshields is provided by two main glass plies.
The failsafe design ensures one single main ply’s ability to carry the maximum pressurization loads.
The protection of the windshield is provided by the outer glass ply which is not structural.
Interlayers provide a flexible medium to improve shatter and impact characteristics of transparencies.
