The Airbus A321-271NX aircraft (N607FR) did a hard landing, broke away the nose landing gear left wheel from the axle, ingested debris from the incident, did a go-around, engine exhaust started spitting flames followed by a safe landing.

It was approximately 10:54 p.m. when Frontier Airlines flight 3506 attempted to arrive at the Puerto Rico Airport from Orlando International Airport (MCO), Florida on 15 April 2025.

Pending an official statement, the pilot attempted an initial landing on runway 10-28 at San Juan (SJU), but allegedly touched down too hard, causing the aircraft to suffer mechanical damage, which led to the closure of that runway due to debris falling to the ground.

Aircraft ingested debris, decided to go-around, and after around 40 minutes in the air, descended and managed to land via runway 8-26.

It was during that descent that one of the people took a video of what appeared to be flames from the exhaust.
